Let's Spend a Day...

 Explore the beautiful backwaters of the lower cape fear river with Capt Tommy Rickman, a veteran guide of the lower cape fear.   Southport/Oak Island/Bald Head Island area offer some of NC best saltwater inshore fishing in the state.  Remember; it’s your day, so please inform us of your fishing type preferences.  I will do my best to try and make your day what you want it to be.  (it is fishing though)  

    While fishing inshore we target; red fish(red drum), flounder, speckled trout, black drum and sheepshead.  During afternoon/evening trips, we target tailing red fish, lady fish, sharks, and even a chance at a huge cape fear tarpon. Near shore target species include spanish mackerel, bluefish, spade fish, fall false albacore, spring Bonita, gray trout and of course big sharks!   

     No matter what your skill level, our goal is to teach you the “how to’s” and have you hooking and catching your own fish. Kids are always welcome and we encourage their participation.   

    For your convenience, we provide  pickup service from most area marinas, including Southport Marina and Bald Head Island.  

Evening Shark/Tarpon trips are a great way to beat the heat during the "Dog Days of Summer".
